Today I started Chapter 13 and have already goth trough Lessons 1-5 out of 12 lessons.

Lesson #1-3, 5.

In this lesson I started to learn about strokes in Adobe Illustrator.

For this image I had to thicken up the stoke of the bottom numbers, change the end points cap, and change the corner joint.

First I changed the Stroke weight from 5pt to 16pt.

Next I had to change the end points cap from Butt Cap to Round Cap.

Than I changed the Corner type from Miter Joint to Round Joint & heres the finished numbers design:

Lesson #4:

In this lesson I changed the with of a path using the width tool:

After learning how to use this tool I was played around with it and this is what the path end up looking like…

This shape looked pretty cool to me…It looks like a ribbon dancer dancing…

 

Independent Practice:

For this independent practice I randomly created a bunch of different shapes and the use the black arrow tool & the Width tool than i added some color to some of the paths:
