Lynda.com: Illustrator CC 2013 One-on-one: Intermediate Chapter 16 All Lessons.

Today I finished chapter 16 & will move on to chapter 17 Tomorrow…

For this lesson I had to Aline all of the squares in the Left art board, than place the letters that are in the Right art board into the correct square.

At this stage I used the Aline panel to Aline each square into a cheer board design.

After I finished offsetting and spacing each square be 20 Pt. each…

Next I placed all of the letters to spell “3102 WEST ABBY LANE” than I centered there position in the squares.

At this point I changed the back ground fill to Whetstone.

For this section I used a copy of the color fill of each letter, colored it rich black, off set it be 20Pt. than decreased its opacity from 100% to 50%…

And Finally I added a the same back shadow to the boxes by selecting them, copying there fill, bring it to front, coloring it black, offsetting it 20pt. by 20Pt. and changing its opacity from 100& to 50&, than sent it to back.
